Obituary for James A. "Jim" Ford

James A. Ford, “Jim”, 72 of Middlesex, passed away peacefully at home on October 2, 2017.

Born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ to the late John and Margaret (Sahli) Ford, he attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Elizabeth, where he met the love of his life, Angela R. Curio.

James went on to serve our country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army where he was honorably discharged in 1968.

Jim was a Tool and Die Maker with General Electric in Springfield, and settled in Middlesex, where he has resided since 1969.

In 1975 he became a licensed Real Estate Agent opening his own agency in Berkeley Heights. Upon entering the industry, he realized the need for quality contractors, and started a small side operation to meet the need of his clients and business. He was a devoted agent who retired just recently in 2014.

Jim was an avid New York Yankees baseball fan, and enjoyed the quality time spent watching games with family and friends, especially his son Brian.

He enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife Angela, and enjoyed many cruises together with family and friends creating a lifetime of memories.

He was preceded in death by his dear sister, Patricia Boyer.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 52 years, Angela R. Ford, his cherished son, Brian Ford and wife Mary, and his extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00PM at the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Friday, October 6, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bound Brook. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at 9:15AM
