Dennis L. Little, 76, died at his home on Saturday, January 6th, 2018 surrounded by his family.
Born in Jersey City, Dennis resided in Metuchen where he graduated High School and then resided in Edison before settling to South Plainfield where he was well known and an active member of the community.
A graduate of Rider University, he initially working as the personnel manager for Kelly Springfield Tire Company, he later worked for Kraco Industries before becoming the Middlesex County Clerk where he worked until 1995. He retired from the Turnpike Authority as Director of Personnel.
Dennis served in the South Plainfield Republican Organization since 1974 where he was Municipal Chair in the late 1970’s and served as a Councilman in the borough for 4 years. Additionally, Dennis served as the Middlesex County Republican Chair, Campaign Manager for Governor Christine Todd-Whitman and a Political Advisor to various Republican candidates at the local, state and federal levels.
He was proud of his Irish Heritage and his interests included traveling, fine dining reading and serving as a lifelong political mentor and advisor to many.
Surviving are his wife of almost 50 years, Lydia, daughters; Kelly Taber and her husband Matt and Erin Treich and her husband Jason all of South Plainfield, brother; Thomas and his wife Elaine of Pawley’s Island, SC. and grandchildren; Aidan, Grace and Charlotte Taber and Noah and Nathaniel Treich.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation hours on Wednesday January 10, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9PM in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funeral 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, January 11, 2018 beginning at 11AM in the funeral home.
Cremation services will be held privately.
