Obituary of Ismael Flores

Piscataway—Ismael Flores, 79, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025 at AristaCare at Abingdon Care Center in Green Brook.  Born in Puerto Rico, Ismael immigrated to the U.S. as a child. He and his family resided in Manhattan where he spent most of his life. A maintenance worker in the World Trade Center, Ismael retired after the 9/11 attacks.  In 2006, he moved to Piscataway to be closer to family, and has lived in the area since.

Ismael is survived by his two sons, Roger and Ismael along with his eight grandchildren, Matthew, Nia, Zachary, Kimberly, Demi, Arianna, Aubrey and Jared and siblings; Miriam Melendez and Anibal Flores.

Visitation will be held at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 5pm until 8pm and on Friday, April 11, 2025 beginning 11:00am.

Funeral Services will be held 11:30am in the funeral home on Friday, followed by burial at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway, NJ.
