It is with deep sadness that the family of Joanne Esposito announces her passing on November 16, 2025 in her home in South Plainfield after a courageous battle with stomach cancer.
Joanne's vibrant spirit and loving nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Joanne had a deep love for the simple joys of life. She cherished time spent on Long Beach Island, finding peace, happiness and enjoying lots of laughs. She also took great pride in her collection of garden gnomes. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her cherished grandchildren.
In her earlier career, Joanne worked as a manager at ShopRite. More recently, she embraced her favorite job as a full-time "Grams," always ready to help care for her little guys affectionately known to her as "Schooch" and "Moo." Known for her playful and happy go lucky personality, Joanne had a unique knack for giving almost everyone she knew a special nickname.
Joanne was preceded in death by her father, Stephen "Al" Krajewski.
She is survived by her loving mother, Irene Krajewski; her devoted daughter, Nicole Curley and her husband Mark; her long-time partner, Fred Behr (and his children Jacqueline, Christie & Alfred); her sister, Karen Manney(Bob); and her adored grandchildren, Mark, Matthew, Jesse, Case, Mia, Ava, and Hunter. She also leaves behind a host of other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family requests that donations in her memory be made to Rutgers Cancer Institute or Grace Hospice.
