Maximillian T. Mendoza Obituary

 


Piscataway - Maximillian T. Mendoza, 88, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.


Born in the Philippines on March 24, 1937, Max graduated from Far Eastern University,


majoring in Accounting. He worked with PhilOil Refinery for over 11 years. He immigrated to the United States with his beloved wife, Tipin, in the early 1970s. They first lived in North Jersey before settling in Piscataway in the mid-1980s, where they raised their late son, Jonathan.


Max earned a Master's Degree in Accounting at St. John's University in Jersey City, NJ and


dedicated more than 30 years of service to the State of New Jersey as a Systems Analyst. He was a kind and social man who truly enjoyed good conversation and the company of others. He was an active member of the Piscataway Senior Center and participated in many activities and outings. He also enjoyed good food, especially his wife's cooking.


In his free time, Max loved ballroom dancing with his wife, Tipin, and he cherished their dogs, Tucker (who predeceased him) and Friday.


Max was predeceased by his beloved son, Jonathan, who passed away suddenly in 2023. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Tipin; his daughter-in-law, Thida Mendoza; and his six cherished grandchildren, Tiffany, Maxine, Jessica, Dwayne, Ace, and Jonas.


He will also be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.


Family and friends may gather in Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway NJ 08854 on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM.


 


A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 10:30AM in Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church in Piscataway.  Family will be gathering in the funeral home prior to the mass at 9:30AM.


Burial will follow in Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
