Florence I. Capparelli (Kisslan), 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Center For Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains.
Florence was raised in Linden and later moved to Elizabeth prior to settling in South Plainfield in 1958, where she made her home and raised her family.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose life centered on her family. She loved cooking and baking and did everything with love, creating countless cherished meals and memories around her table. She enjoyed playing Bingo, was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees, and found great joy in watching her grandchildren participate in their sporting events.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Francis “Frank” who passed in 2022, Florence is also predeceased by her parents and nine siblings.
She is survived by her five children; Debbie Capparelli of Warren, Sal and Frank Capparelli, both of Piscataway, Maria Grosso and her husband Phil of Waretown, and Cyndi Capparelli of South Plainfield. Her cherished grandchildren; David, Laura, Michael and his wife Olivia, Kevin and his wife Maria Julia, Ricky and Zachary. Also surviving are several loving nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
All funeral services have been privately entrusted to the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
