Antonio Montuori Loving Grandfather South Plainfield - Antonio Montuori, "Papa Tony", 80, died on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at home. Born in Sarno, Italy, Antonio immigrated to the United States in 1960, settling to South Plainfield where he has resided ever since. For the past 20 years, Papa Tony was employed with the Middlesex County Parks Department working in the Maintenance Division at Spring Lake Park in South Plainfield, before recently retiring. He began his employment many years ago with Moms Restaurant in Edison and later Mr. Montuori worked for Spring Hills, Lockheed, and Harris Steel. A charter member of the South Plainfield Italian American Progressive League. He was also known as a caring and very hard worker. He is predeceased by his sister and two brothers, Antoinette, Michele and Raffaelo. Surviving are his dear wife of 47 years, Concetta (Esposito), his two sons and their wives, Aniello & Kimberly of South Plainfield and Raffaelo & Therese of Harmony, and his two brothers, Francesco and Giuseppe. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Jessica, Nicole, Amanda, Nicholas & Anthony. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2007 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Haven Hospice, C/O JFK Medical Center, 65 James St., Edison, NJ 08818
