Mary J. Gala nee Campos, 82, of South Plainfield, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2016 at her home. Born in Malvern, PA to the late Felix and Anne Campos, she was a former resident of Corning, New York, before moving to South Plainfield in 1978.
Mary was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed old western movies, going to the casino, and quality time spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her dear sister, Hilda Luczkowski.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 48 years, Daniel C. Gala, her daughters, Joann Olander and husband Edward of New York, and Linda Ingersoll of North Carolina, her dear brother Felix Campos and wife Kathy, and her six cherished grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00PM at the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield.
