Obituary of Bobbie R. Telfor

Bobbie R. Telfor, 79, passed away on June 8, 2017 at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born to the late Jesse and Pauline Telfor in Houston, Texas and went on to serve his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Bobbie left Texas in 1952 and moved to New Jersey and marrying his beloved wife Rosa Jane Newton in 1964. Mr. and Mrs. Telfor settled in Elizabeth where they raised their family before moving to Piscataway ten years ago. Mr. Telfor was a Diesel Mechanic for over 50 years. He started his career with U.S. Medal Trucking in Carteret where he worked for 24 years before working with Yellow Trucking in Mt. Vernon, NY. Then retired after dedicating 27 years to the company. He was a devoted husband and father, and enjoyed the quality time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his cherished daughter Pricilla in 1994. Surviving are his beloved wife of 52 years, Rosa Jane Telfor, his loving daughter, Michelle Sessoms and husband Khasem, his step son Alipine Singleton, his adored grandchildren, Alcillena, Princillena, Kylah, and Mekhi, great grandchildren, Ayla and Shamya, his dear siblings, twin sister Betty Lang, sister Maryland Bushay and husband Raymond, brothers Webster and wife Theresa, Lawrence and wife Helen, and Ray and wife Renee, Grace Johnson, his Aunt Jewel and a son in law Abubakr Wilson, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 9:00 to 10:00AM at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ Funeral services with entombment will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, June 13th at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union , NJ
