South Plainfield - Joseph M. Krajewski, 75, died passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at home in Mechanicsburg, PA.
Born in Taylor, Pennsylvania, Joe has been a lifelong resident of the Borough of South Plainfield until recently locating to Machanicsburg.
He graduated from South Plainfield High School in 1958 and began a career with the United States Postal Service. He initially worked as a letter carrier and later became a clerk, working for 35 years in the South Plainfield Branch before his retirement in the mid 1990's.
Joe was also a veteran of the United States Army, serving at the beginning of the Vietnam War before being honorably discharged in 1965.
He enjoyed bowling and had been a member of various leagues throughout Central Jersey.
Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Madeline, Joe is survived by his sister and her husband, Irene and Robert Fabry of Mechanicsburg, Pa., a niece , Donna Fabry, a nephew, Tom Fabry and a great niece, Amara Fabry.
Funeral services will begin on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:30AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by an 11AM funeral mass in Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield, NJ 07080
Visitation will be Friday starting at 9AM until service time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 120 Kosciusko Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080.
