As one of her nieces, I would have loved to have been notified about my Aunts passing. It would have been nice to be able to pay my respects. She was one of my favorite Aunts while growing up, but we lost touch after Uncle Bill passed away as she moved to be near her brother and sister. I only found out about this today while talking to my father, Henry Kratz, who was one of Bills younger brothers. Aunt Joan, even though we lost touch many years ago, you have always been in my heart and my prayers. I love you and will continue to miss you. Give Uncle Bill a big hug and kiss from me.

So sorry to hear of Joanie's passing. Always will remember the Friday night gatherings at Aunt Stephine and Uncle Eddie's home. Hope all is well with Larry and Elaine and families. May she forever rest in peace.

I have only had the pleasure of knowing "Aunt" Joan for a short while but in that time I, as well as my son and boyfriend, have grown quite fond of her. I always enjoyed our conversations and the laughs we shared as we watched different clips on Ellen and the Steve Harvey Show. I am sad that she is gone but am happy that she is reunited with her husband who she often said she missed and is now free from all that ailed her. I will miss her very much and hope that her wonderful family can feel some comfort knowing that she is rejoicing with the Lord in heaven. I am sure that she will watch over them all until the day comes that they meet again. God Bless!

I am going to miss you Joanie. I will think of those good meals at your house in North Bergen, especially your green potatoes, corn beef, and your macaroni/shrimp salad and I will always smile. I wish you a safe journey. Mary

I've never felt more loved without being related by blood. Missing you and the memories we made as "family." I promise to keep your loved ones feeling the exact same way... Always. Xo
