Obituary of Edward R. Peterson

Edward R. Peterson, 91, passed away October 15, 2014 at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Rahway. Born and raised in Queens, NY, he settled in Colonia in 1952.Mr. Peterson proudly served an enlistment in United States Army during WWII. He was a retired Engineer with ATandT Western Electric and was an active member in his local AARP.Edward was predeceased by his wife Jeanne Peterson who passed away in 1985. Surviving are his daughter, Laurie Cybulski and her husband Joe of Piscataway; his sons, Rick Peterson and his wife Karen of Ohio and Jim Peterson and his wife Gladys of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Beth, Krissy, Joey, John and David; his three great grandchildren and his longtime companion Alice Cistaro.Visitation hours will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:30 pm at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Rd., Piscataway, NJ 08854 with a prayer service starting at 7:30 pm that evening. Interment will be in the Rosedale Cemetery Tuesday 11:00 am.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local Meals on Wheels program.
