Obituary of Albert C. Ulrichny

Middlesex - Albert C. Ulrichny, loving father and pa, passed away at the age of 92 on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Rivers Edge in Raritan. Born in Newark to the late Edward and Jennie (Ostrowska) Ulrichny, Albert remained in Newark until enlisting in the Marine Corps at the age of 19. He lived in Irvington and South Plainfield before settling to Middlesex in 1959. In 1946, after surviving the Battles of Okinawa and Sugarloaf during World War II, Albert was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps. Albert retired from Captive Plastics in Piscataway where he was an expert injection molding specialist. He was a talented handyman being able to fix anything he touched. He enjoyed fishing and was a former member of the South Plainfield VFW. Predeceased by his wife Betty in 2003, Albert leaves behind his children; Nancy Mentzel and her husband Dennis, Robert Ulrichny, and Ronald Ulrichny and his wife Susan, all of Middlesex. He is also survived by his sister Janet Yannaccone and her husband Edward of Bedminster and two grandchildren; Stephanie and Danielle Ulrichny. Visitation will take place in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 3-7pm and on Saturday, December 16, 2017 beginning 8:15 am. On Saturday, December 16, 2017 funeral services will begin 8:45 am in the funeral home followed by a 9:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church. Burial will follow in the family plot of Lake Nelson Memorial Cemetery in Piscataway.
