Obituary of Victor Mario DeGhetto

Middlesex, NJ Victor Mario DeGhetto, 86, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Middlesex, passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning, March 29, 2014. Born and raised in Bound Brook, Victor has been a resident of the borough since 1957. Victor was honorably discharged from the United States Navy after faithfully serving his country during WWII. He worked as a machinist with the VA Hospital located in Lyons before retiring in 1982. In his earlier years, he was an active member of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Middlesex. He loved hunting and fishing and especially loved teaching his grandchildren how to fish. A true family man, he will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. His loving wife of sixty-three years, Marie C. DeGhetto, predeceased him in 2012. He was also predeceased by his parents Mario and Mary (Kraffa) DeGhetto and his sister, Gloria Borstelmann. Victor is survived by two brothers and two sisters. He is also survived by his devoted daughters; Marjorie DeGhetto of Middlesex, Joyce Fear and husband Jonathan of Whitehouse Station, and Gail Lemongello and companion Joseph of Dunellen. Victor also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Frank, Anthony and Joseph Lemongello and Kathleen and Meredith Fear, his adored great-grandchildren, Donald and Chloe. Visitation will take place Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm in the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846. At the request of the family, cremation will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations sent to Compassionate Care Hospice, 110 West End Avenue, Somerville, NJ 08869 would be greatly appreciated.
