Obituary of Pacifico Q. Quilal-lan

Piscataway - Pacifico Q. Quilal-lan passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 17, 2017 at the age of 80 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in the Philippines, Pacifico immigrated to the United States in 1970. He resided in Morristown and Newark before settling to Piscataway 1978, where he raised his family. An accomplished life insurance agent for the New York Life Insurance Company, Pacifico retired May of 2016 after 45 years of dedicated service. Outside of work, Pacifico led a simple life. He loved to tend to his vegetable garden with his dogs and was very passionate about cooking. He loved to crab at his favorite spot in Belford, NJ, read Reader's Digest and the Star Ledger to wind down his day, and show off his cherished 1974 Dodge Challenger He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to those who knew him, he will be greatly missed. Surviving are his wife, Aurora M. Quilal-lan; three sons, Jay, Adam and wife Ana, Sean and wife Lyza and five grandchildren, Ariana Vanina, Aidan, Liam Jacob, Skyler Paige and Ryan Evan. He is preceded by his sisters Romula Q. Stoner and Maria Q. Gatti. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 9AM in Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway NJ 08854 followed by a 10am funeral mass in St. Frances Cabrini in Piscataway. Cremation will follow privately. Family and friends may attend visitation on Friday from 6-9PM in the funeral home.
