Obituary of Dorothy Mead

Dorothy Mead of North Plainfield passed away peacefully at the age of 83 surrounded by her family on August 26th . Dorothy was born in Union New Jersey then moved to South Plainfield after she was married where she resided for most of her life. She was a devoted mother to six children. She worked in the credit department of Sears and also had her Real-estate License. Dorothy loved all animals especially dogs. She enjoyed music, cooking, baking and gardening, but her greatest joy was being with her children and her granddaughter Olivia. Mrs. Mead was predeceased by her husband Edward C. Mead in 2007 and her son Garry T. Mead in 2006. Dorothy is survived by her sons Edward S. Mead of Warren, Thomas P. Mead of Farmingdale, her daughters Deborah H. Mead of North Plainfield, Eileen T. Lovett of Annandale, Diane M. Neuhaus of Whitehouse Station, her beloved granddaughter Olivia E. Neuhaus and her brother Stanley Krulikowski of Sebastian Florida and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held Monday August 31 from 2-8PM at The South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080. A prayer service will take place at 8PM in the funeral home. Committal will be private. Because of her love of animals it was Dorothy's wish that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Popcorn Zoo, 1 Humane Way, Forked River, NJ 08731.
