Obituary of James A McIntyre

In Loving Memory of James Arthur McIntyre, III December 16, 1946 - August 20, 2015 James A. "Mac" McIntyre, III of Piscataway, NJ passed away on August 20, 2015 at the age of 68. Mac was the second of three children born to parents; James and Frances McIntyre on December 16, 1946 in Newark, NJ. He graduated from Weequahic High School before receiving his bachelor's degree from Monmouth College, where he was inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012 for his achievements in basketball. Mac married Elizabeth A. Horne of Piscataway in 1974 and the couple lovingly raised 3 daughters. Prior to a 20+ year career with Middlesex County Department of Youth Services, Mac served as a counselor at Edison Job Corps. and a screen printer at Revlon. He enjoyed international travel, watching sports, and having a good time with family and friends. Mac is survived by his wife of 41 years, Liz McIntyre; his 4 daughters,Thereasa M. Locke (Norman), Nina M. Anderson (Edward), Kelli McIntyre, Heidi S. Brooks (Richard); and his 7 grandchildren , Gregg, Kimara, Jack, Elijah, Josiah, Travers, and Tilden. Mac also leaves behind his sister Cynthia Johnson and brother Thomas McIntyre; 3 brothers-in-law, Melvin, Henry, and Reginald Horne and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Mac was cremated privately, a memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
