Obituary of Phyllis Tagliaferro

Middlesex, NJ - Phyllis Tagliaferro, 93, entered into eternal life on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Bridgeway Care Center in Hillsborough. Born in Plainfield to the late Anthony and Nancy (DelMonico) Tagliaferro, Phyllis has lived in Middlesex for over fifty years. Phyllis spent most of her working life at Markay Bags in Plainfield where she worked as a production line supervisor. She eventually retired from Burrows Manufacturing in Warren. She loved to clean her house and could always be found shopping. Whether it was hunting for bargains or shopping for clothes, her passion was catalog shopping. The true matriarch of the Tagliaferro family, everyone always looked up to her and she will be missed by all those that knew her. Predeceased by her siblings Raffelea, Andrew and Ermina, she leaves behind her siblings; Angelina "Jean" Pagano of Toms River and Vincent Tagliaferro of Middlesex. Phyllis will be missed by her nieces and nephews and by her great and great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 5-8 pm and on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 beginning at 8:15 am. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 beginning 8:45 am followed by a 9:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Virgin in Middlesex. Burial will follow in the family plot of Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
