Middlesex, NJ Anthony Meffe, 77, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Torela Del Scannio, Italy to his late parents Domenica and Elvira (Luciano) Meffe, he settled to Middlesex in 1964.For thirty years, Anthony worked for Eastern Steel Barrel located in Piscataway as a Press Operator. For eight years prior to his retirement, he assisted in the maintenance department of the Middlesex Board of Education. Anthony was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Middlesex. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his beloved wife Bambina Meffe who passed away in 2006.Anthony leaves behind his loving brother Nick Meffe and his wife Carmela of Hollywood, Florida.Visitation will be held in the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm and on Monday, January 6, 2014 from 8:15 am until 8:45 am.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 6, 2014 beginning 9:30 am at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Middlesex. Mausoleum entombment will follow in the mausoleum of Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield.
