Middlesex, NJ - Carol R. (Kling) Byrne, 80, entered into eternal life at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville on Monday, June 29, 2015. Born in Orange, NJ to her late parents Frank and Freda Kling, she has lived in Middlesex for the past fifty-one years. Carol spent her time caring for her family as a homemaker. She had a love for knitting and could always be found knitting for the Appalachian Kids and abused infants in local hospitals. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Middlesex. Besides her parents, Carol is predeceased by her daughter Marylou Gambino who died in 2009 and by her siblings; Lois Sambach and Walter Kling. Carol leaves behind her husband of fifty-four years; Louis Byrne, daughter Holly Ann Zulus of Middlesex, step-daughter Linda Byrne-Zirpolo of Florida, two adored grandchildren; Sofia and Tessa and her brother Frank Kling, Jr. Visitation will take place in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm and on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 8:15 am until 8:45 am. Funeral services will begin 8:45 am in the funeral home on Thursday, July 2, 2015 followed by a 9:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Middlesex. Prayers will follow in the chapel of Somerset Hills Mausoleum in Basking Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
