Middlesex, NJ - Doris (Helmstetter) Caporaso, 75, left this life peacefully after a long battle with cancer on May 12, 2015 with her son by her side. She was born in Irvington, raised in Springfield and lived in Middlesex for forty years.
She was an account representative for C.R. Bard International in Murray Hill for 26 years, retiring in 1999. She also worked at Drug Fair in Stirling, and then became a Nanny to many families with children. She was loved by all who knew her, because she was always pleasant, fun to be with and was always helping others.
She was active with the Middlesex Senior Citizens and Cavalry Chapel in Middlesex. She enjoyed reading, swimming, Zumba, going to the beach, and spending time with her Daughter-in-law and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her sister Joan DeMarco, her parents Robert and Helen Helmstetter and her niece and Godchild Andrea Delany.
She is survived by her son Donald, daughter-in-law Arlene Armenti, her grandchildren Kenneth Pukas and his wife Janice; Tiffany Pukas and Matt Workman; her great-granddaughter Adrianna, her sister Janet Venice and brother-in-law Roger, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
There will be visitation for relatives and friends on Sunday May 17, 2015 at the Middlesex Funeral Home 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 from 2-6 p.m. with a 5:45pm closing prayer service. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to OneGift Inc., 310 South Street, Morristown, NJ 07960 in Doris' name.
