Joan C. Caponigro, 78, passed away May 11, 2015. Born and raised in Middleport, PA, she resided in Piscataway for over 50 years.
Mrs. Caponigro is a retired Secretary from UMDNJ.
Surviving are her loving husband Dominick; her daughter Cathy Goebel and her husband Ralph; her son Dan Mackey and his partner Chip Hoever; her step-daughter Marilyn Dahrouge and her husband Phil; her siblings, Bob Burke and Betty Zapotoczny; her grandchildren Erika, Jenna, Nicholas and Don and his wife Christina; her great grandchildren Alexis, Taylor and Dominic and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday with a 9:30 to 11:30 viewing at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Rd., Piscataway, NJ 08854 followed by a 12:00 graveside service in the Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joan's name to the Alzheimer's Foundation, www.alzfdn.org
