Jonathan C. Ramteke Age: 68 * Resident of Piscataway Piscataway, NJ - Jonathan C. Ramteke, 68, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Kolhapur, India, he moved to the United States in 1964, where he attended college in North Carolina and has been a resident of Piscataway since 1982. Jonathan was a Project Manager with the State of New Jersey, Department of Taxation in Trenton. He loved to travel and was very active within the church community of Christ United Methodist Church in Piscataway. Jonathan spent a majority of his time in service of others; he worked with F.I.S.H., Shepherd Shelves, and the Circle Playhouse. He was predeceased by his parents Rev. Sumant and Ada (North) Ramteke and his wife Dorothy I. (Jones) Ramteke who died June 12, 2012. Jonathan is survived by his loving children; Arnetta M. West of Westampton, NJ, Larry A. West of Piscataway and Leslie T. West of South Plainfield and devoted siblings; Timothy Ramteke and Pramila Ramteke both of New Brunswick. He will be missed by his four cherished grandchildren; Jihad Bonds, Khalil Farid, Khairi West and Yazmin Campbell, adored great-granddaughter Milan Bonds and by many extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Funeral services will follow beginning 1:00 pm at Christ United Methodist Church, 485 Hoes Lane, Piscataway, NJ 08854.
