Obituary of William A. Erchick

Middlesex, NJ - William A. Erchick, 87, entered into eternal life on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at his daughter's home with his loving family at his side. Born in Alliance, OH to his late parents Joseph and Catherine (Tegi) Erchick, he moved to Brooklyn, NY in 1954 and has been a resident of Middlesex since 1961.
Bill retired as a Vice President with the former First Union Bank located in North Brunswick. He could often be found outside where his passion was in the garden and with woodworking. Bill was a communicant of and active volunteer for Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Middlesex and was a member of the Knights of Columbus 558 Alliance Council in Ohio.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Julie (Hochstrasser) Erchick who died January 3, 2000 and by nine of his siblings.
Bill will be missed dearly by his loving and devoted children; Tim Erchick and his wife Debra of NY, William A. Erchick, Jr. and his wife Deborah of NJ, Alice Campbell and her husband Stuart of DE, Kara Murphy and her husband Tim of NJ, Evan Erchick and his wife Anne of NJ and Peter Erchick of GA, and by his nine adored grandchildren; Frank, Hillary, Daniel, Kevin, Caitlin, Abigail and Thomas Erchick and Tyler and Lindsey Campbell, his two cherished siblings; Joseph Erchick and his wife Terry of OH and Clara King of TX, and his large extended family whom he loved.
Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and on Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 8:15am until 8:45am.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 beginning 9:30am at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Middlesex. Bill will be laid to rest beside his wife Julie in the family plot of Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
In lieu of flowers, donations sent to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (www.pancan.org) in memory of Julie Erchick and in support of Bill Erchick, Jr. or for RWJUH Hospice Care payable to RWJUH Foundation, 10 Plum Street, Suite 910, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 would be appreciated.
