Peter Bonapace, 82, passed away June 18, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born and raised in Piscataway, Peter married his wife in California on July 4, 1953 at San Luis Obispo Mission. They then returned to and settled in Piscataway. Mr. Bonapace was employed for over 30 years with Ford Motor Company in Edison, retiring in 1992. He and his wife traveled extensively through-out the continents of North American, Europe and Africa. He enjoyed golf, bowling and pool. Together he and his wife enjoyed hosting their annual July 4th picnic. Mr. Bonapace was predeceased by his loving wife of 49 years, Mrs. Jean Marie Bonapace, by his brother John Bonapace and by his sister Lucy DelPup. Surviving are his dear daughter Deborah Szesko and her husband John; his brothers Louis Bonapace and Charles Bonapace; his grandchildren Renee Finelli and her husband Richard and Joann Abbate and her husband Michael; his great grandchildren, Nicholas Abbate, Rebecca Finelli and Christopher Abbate and by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will begin Tuesday 9:00 am from the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Rd., Piscataway, NJ, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Frances Cabrini Church at 10:00 am in Piscataway. Entombment will be in the Resurrection Burial Park Mausoleum in Piscataway. Visitation hours are Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Peter's name to Pandora's Box, c/o Piscataway Senior Citizens, (732) 562-1133, 700 Buena Vista Ave., Piscataway, NJ 08854.
