Obituary of Dawn Sherry

Dawn Sherry , 58, of Piscataway, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 15, 2018, in Somerville, NJ.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Herbert and Barbara Sherry (nee Malsam), she graduated from J.P. Stevens High School in Edison in 1978 and went on to become a biomedical technician. Dawn was a proud, active member of the Ladies' Auxiliary Post 261. She enjoyed playing softball, golf, and was an avid animal lover.
Dawn is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Barbara Sherry, and her brother, Mark.
Surviving are her twin brother, David Sherry and wife, Phyllis, of Coral Springs, FL, sister, Cindy Green and husband Bill, of Venice, FL, closest friend, Donna Rito of Piscataway, NJ, her five nieces and nephews, and her four-legged companion, Tucker.
Family and friends are welcome to gather for visitation on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway with an American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 261 service to be held at 7:30PM
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, October 19, 2018 at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Linden.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dawn's life at the American Legion Post 261 in Piscataway after services conclude.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project Donate Online and/or the ASPCA Donate Online
