Obituary of Marie Martin

Marie A. Martin, 84, of Bound Brook, passed away on November 19, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Somerset, in Somerville with her son and daughter-in-law at her side. Born and raised in Manville to the late John and Mary Gregor (nee Tomko) she was a graduate of Bound Brook High School and resided in Bound Brook for over 66 years. Marie was a communicant of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Bound Brook. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who dedicated her life to taking care of her family. Marie was known for her excellent cooking and baking, and enjoyed the quality time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stephen Martin in 2004, her dear son, Robert Martin, and her sister Cecelia Palochko and her twin brother John Gregor. Surviving are her loving children, Christopher Martin and wife Stefanie of Middlesex, Michael Martin and wife Sharon of Waretown, her dear brother, Thomas Gregor and wife Julie of Manville, her cherished grandchildren Taylor, Connor, and Mackenzie, her daughter in law Christine Martin and sister in law Catherine Gregor, as well as her fury companion Charlie, her extended family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to gather for visitation on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at St. Joseph R.C. Church, Mountain Avenue and East High Street, Bound Brook. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at 9:00AM. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park Mausoleum.
