Obituary of Michael Kertes

Michael W. Kertes Michael W. Kertes, 35, died on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at his home in Pottstown, PA. Michael was born in Edison on January 22, 1974 to Frank and Linda Kertes of South Plainfield where he grew up and graduated from South Plainfield High School in 1992 and then attended Somerset County Technical Institute and pursued a career in graphic arts. He later became a member of the Steel Workers Union and had worked at various sheet metal companies. As a member of the Union, he continued his education and had earned the equivalent of an Associate Degree. He had been a licensed crane operator in New York City and was also licensed as an explosives expert. Michael is survived by his beloved daughter, Cheyenne Bloodgood of Pottstown, PA, his parents, Frank and Linda Kertes of South Plainfield and by his six siblings, Frank, Jeffrey, Robert, Jennifer, Kenneth and Shannon Kertes. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 27, 2009 from 5:00 - 7:30 PM in the McCriskin-Gusafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield with a funeral service beginning at 7:30 PM.
