Linda M. Banilis
Roselle, NJ - Linda M. Banilis, 63, died suddenly at her home on Monday, April 4, 2011. Born in Elizabeth, she has lived in Roselle most of her life.
She was working as a banquet server at the Hilton Garden Inn located in Raritan Center, Edison, NJ. Linda enjoyed reading, TV, cooking, family Sunday dinners and most importantly her music, especially Doo-Wops. She was always willing to lend a helping hand whether to a friend or a stranger and the world was a better place for her having been here.
An avid animal lover, she took care of all the family pets and was always found helping stray animals. Linda loved spending time with her family and friends and will be sadly missed by all those that knew and loved her.
She is predeceased by her mother Josephine (Mellish) who died February 11, 1980.
Linda leaves behind her father Charles and her two sisters; Connie and husband Vincent Cannata of Piscataway and Karen and husband Minas Frangos of Edison. She will be missed dearly by her niece and nephews; Joseph Frangos and wife Marie, Cristi, Nicholas and Kevin Cannata, her great nephew Minas Joseph Frangos and great-niece Alessandra Marie Frangos along with all of her extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 beginning 9:00am in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church in Piscataway. Linda will be laid to rest in St. Gertrude''s Cemetery located in Colonia.
Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 4-8 PM and on Friday from 8:45 AM until the service time
