Obituary of Donald J. Pickle"" Meikle

South Plainfield - Donald J. "Pickle" Meikle, 58, died Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in East Brunswick. Born in Plainfield, Donald is a lifelong resident of South Plainfield. He worked as a truck driver for Stillo Paving and Excavating. Donald loved being outside in the sun crabbing, fishing, playing volleyball and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed hanging out in the local bars with his friends. Predeceased by his father, Herbert W. Meikle; surviving are his mother, Julie Meikle of South Plainfield; four siblings, Herb Meikle and wife Susan of East Brunswick, Tom Meikle of Winona Lakes, PA, Lisa Busichio and husband Joey of Point Pleasant, NJ and Kim Meikle (Steve Kandels) of South Plainfield; cousin, Ron Fourre and wife Susan of Savanah, GA; seven nieces and nephews, Joey, Gianna, Nichole, Richard, Cara, Jennifer, Michael; great nephew, Andrew and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He will also be missed by the families beloved pets, Xena, Zeus, Meow Meow, Annie, Lucy, Biebs, Kittae, Little Boy and Liam. Funeral services will begin on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11:30AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Cremation will follow privately. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3-8PM in the funeral home.
