Bridgewater - Mirta B. Capan, 51, died Wednesday August 21, 2019 at Morristown Medical Center. 

 

Born in Weehawkin, NJ to Aquiles and Mirta Gonzalez, she grew up in Union City, NJ.  In 1997, she settled to Bridgewater, NJ with her husband, Robert where they started their family.  Mirta graduated from Seton Hall University and enjoyed to read, listen to music, drink coffee, travel and Yankee baseball. 

 

She also enjoyed trips to the beach and socializing with friends, however, her passion in life was taking care of her children and family.

 

Surviving are her husband of 23 years, Robert Capan and two children, Dylan and Avery all of Bridgewater, her parents, Aquiles and Mirta (Hernandez) Gonzalez and a host of extended family and friends.

 

Family and friends may gather for the viewing services in the funeral home which will begin on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 4-8pm in the South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080

Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 8:15AM in the South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass in St. Bernard of Clairvaux RC Church of Bridgewater, NJ at 10AM.

 

Entombment will follow in Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
