I have known Brett since we were teenagers, and, then, nearly 5 decades ago, he became my brother-in-law, so his passing leaves a hole in my life. I have witnessed the close bond between brothers, despite their differences. Brett was such a skillful, hard worker and a social being. He loved people and had a great smile and an infectious laugh. I will look forward to the reuniting of the Smith clan in the better days to come that God promises and Jesus' death guarantees. My heart goes out to all his children.
