Obituary of Ann Tatur

Ann Tatur, 98, passed away on Thursday, July 24 at RJW Somerset Hospital after a short illness. She was born in Middlesex and lived there where she raised her family for many years. In 1971, she moved to Martinsville where she has resided ever since.

During her working life, Ann was employed by a variety of businesses including Thomas Young Orchids, Schnitzpahn Nurseries, Art Color and Knickerbocker Toys. In her retirement years she enjoyed traveling with her second husband, visiting Long Beach Island and the casinos at Atlantic City.

Ann was predeceased by her parents, John and Stella Daciuk, her siblings Paul and Steve, first husband John Dolida who died in 1971 and second husband Henry Tatur who died in 1995.

She is survived by 3 children: Roger and wife Carol of Summerville, SC; Kenneth and wife Diane of Bound Brook, NJ; and Janice Maikisch and husband Stephen Jr. of Hillsborough, NJ along with several grandchildren; (Wendy, Jason, Cindi, Michael, John and the Late Stephen Maikisch III) and many loving great grandchildren.

Because Ann loved dogs and cats, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter in Bridgewater.

Family and friends may gather on Monday, August 3, 2020 from 9-11AM in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex NJ 08846.  Funeral services for Ann will begin at 10:45AM with a catholic prayer followed by burial in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.

All who are attending are required to wear a proper face covering.
