Gregory Monroe Shipley was born in Middlesex, New Jersey to Henry Monroe and Elaine Shipley on September 17, 1954.  He departed this life on August 21, 2020.  A product of Middlesex public schools, Gregory graduated from high school and began a 30-year career as a technician at AT&T/Bell Laboratories.

A lifelong resident of the Middlesex community, Gregory served the town as a volunteer fireman for a period of time.  Greg was also an avid outdoorsman who spent much of his time fishing with his closest friends on weekends and holidays.  A quiet and gentle man, he enjoyed the simple things in life such as baseball, dogs, and landscaping.

Mr. Shipley is preceded in death by his parents, the late Elaine and Monroe Shipley and sister, Ms. Brenda Shipley.

He leaves behind to mourn his loss- aunts Dr. Edna Adams McCrae (who is also his godmother) and Ms. Barbara Shipley Cox; nieces, Ms. Diona Yvette Shipley and Mrs. Camille Frazier; as well as a host of cousins, great nieces, and friends.
