Obituary of Ashley S. Mayorga Guevara

Ashley Simone Mayorga Guevara, at the tender age of 15, was called home from this life to Eternal Rest on Thursday evening, November 19, 2020.  Born in Plainfield, Ashley lived in Piscataway and was a current student at Piscataway High School.

While attending school, Ashley enjoyed field hockey and she worked part-time at Fratelli’s Pizzeria in Piscataway.  She enjoyed cooking and will always be remember as a kind-hearted, trustworthy and dependable human who had a huge heart and is simply, irreplaceable.

Predeceased by her brother just three years ago, Jonathan, Ashley leaves behind her mother Blanca Guevara and step-father Jose Mercado of Piscataway, father Magno Mayorga of Middlesex, sister Nataly Guevara of Piscataway and her paternal grandmother Yolanda Mayorga of Ecuador and maternal grandmother Maria S. Guevara of El Salvador.

Ashley will be missed terrible by her extended family; four uncles, five aunts, twenty cousins and her four legged friend, pet bunny Milo.

Viewing will be Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. 

Funeral services for Wednesday, November 25, 2020 will take place at St. Mary's Church in Plainfield beginning at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.

During this ongoing pandemic, according to Executive Orders and the CDC guidelines, we kindly ask that face masks must be worn while visiting, to be mindful of physical distancing to the best of your ability, and are asking visitors to minimize time spent indoors to allow everyone a chance to pay their respects. We thank you for your understanding and for taking these precautions during this difficult time.
