Obituary of Mary Jane D Monaghan

Mary Jane D.  Borke Monaghan, 82, died on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.

Born in Dover, Delaware, Mrs. Monaghan resided in Jersey City before settling to South Plainfield.

Prior to her retirement from BJ’s Wholesale Club in Edison where she worked for over 20 years, Mary Jane worked at the former Metro Glass in Jersey City, the former ShopRite in Middlesex as well as the former Lakeside Tavern in South Plainfield.

Mrs. Monaghan enjoyed playing cards, taking trips down to the casino’s, reading and crocheting. In addition, she also loved her cats but her true enjoyment was found when spending time with her grandchildren.

Predeceased by her husband Christopher, Mary Jane is survived by her daughters, Diane Mazza and her husband John of Cranford and Laura Frontz and her husband Fred of South Plainfield and grandchildren, Christopher Steger (Dani), Amanda Steger (Kyle), Alexandria Frontz and Ryan Frontz (Chloe).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 4-8pm in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.

Funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 10:30amam at Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, South Plainfield.

Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.
