Obituary of Martha E. Gonzalez
South Plainfield - Martha “Bea” Gonzalez, 89, died on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Community Medical Center in Toms River.
Born in Elizabeth, to the late Raymond Gallagher and Martha (Buck) Bianculli, she grew up in Plainfield and had resided in South Plainfield from 1950 until 2007 when she settled in Bayville.
Bea worked for the Borough of South Plainfield in the court clerk’s office for 9 years before her retirement in 1997. Prior to that, she had been a waitress for 23 years, working mostly at the former Auntie Mame’s Restaurant in Sterling and later at the former Jacques Restaurant in South Plainfield.
Bea was an avid long time bowler, having bowled over the years in various leagues in the Middlesex County area and most recently had been an active member of St. Barnabas Church in Bayville.
Her husband, Cono A. Gonzalez, Sr., died in 2002.
Surviving are her four children, Donna Driscoll, Constance Gonzalez, Cono A. Gonzalez, Jr., Philip Gonzalez and his wife Lisa; a son-in-law, Dennis Driscoll, Sr.; a brother, Anthony Bianculli and his wife Mary; grandchildren: Dennis Driscoll, Jr., Cynthia Petix and her husband, Billy, Matthew Judd, Peter Judd and Brittany, Marissa Van Woeart and her husband, Jeff and Nicholas Gonzalez; great-grandchildren: Amanda Driscoll and Mike, Gina Marie, Jayden, Christopher, Travis and Wesley Judd, Triestina, Gabriella and William Petix and Arianna, Alexa, Zachary and Autumn Van Woeart and a great-great-granddaughter, Gia Nicole Vella. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and host of friends.
A public visitation will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 1-4 PM in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Livestream viewing will be available on her web page at www.mccriskinfuneralhome.com

In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
