Obituary of Andrew Ostapovich
Andrew Ostapovich, 66 passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville.
Born in Plainfield Andrew was a lifelong resident of South Plainfield.
He loved spending time with his kids especially his grandson. He was the best PawPaw a grandson could ask for. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and talking about the "good ol' days".
An avid cook, Andrew enjoyed cooking for others. He was known for finding peoples favorite dish and often serving it. When his daughter was growing up Andrew worked nights, she would often wait up for one of his famous eggie sandwiches which the two would share after his shift.
Andrew enjoyed the outdoors and always dreamed of going to Alaska. In addition, he also loved to fish and hunt.
Andrew loved his job at Picut Manufacturing where he worked for many years as a talented machinist. He could make anything people asked for and he thoroughly enjoyed a challenge.
Andrew is predeceased by his parents Walter and Margaret Ostapovich as well as his wife Deborah, surviving are his daughter, Melanie Ostapovich of South Plainfield; his grandson Nicholas, step son, Timothy Kielblock Jr of Flemington, and his wife Lauren. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Funeral and Cremation services are being held privately and have been entrusted to the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
