Rosanne (Kratz) Bosse posted a condolence
Sunday, April 25, 2021
Dear Barbara, Freddie and Nancy,
I know you don't know me, but my name is Rosanne (Kratz) Bosse. I am currently living in Florida but grew up my entire life in South Plainfield. Our families were intertwined from many years ago. It was your mom who assisted my mom during my birth. I also think that either Nancy or Barbara and I share the same birthdate, April 8th. Something I never forgot....
As for your dad, he was a very good friend of my Uncle Sonny Peluso and my dad, John Kratz who had the Esso gas station on Park & Maple Ave. I don't know if our dad's ever hunted together, but I know they shared this in common. I was also so proud that your dad implemented the K9 Unit of SP. I remember Baki, the first K9 into the unit. I will remember your dad with a "larger than life" presence. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope he can find my Uncle & dad in heaven too. I'm sure they'll have alot of laughs together.

Sending love and condolences to the Boosmann, Whitefleet, Knigge families. Thank you, Big Fred, for always making me feel like family. I will always remember your smiling face and kind words especially the excitement whenever you saw me and yelled out a "Hey Bizz". I had the pleasure of working with Fred in the South Plainfield Police Department for many years during which time we became good friends. He always called me "Sweet Caroline" right up until the last time we spoke to him several weeks ago. So, dear Fred, from Sweet Caroline, may you rest in peace now with the love of your life.

I came on the South Plainfield Police Force in 1964 and Fred immediately took on the role of mentor. He remained that until passing on to me the position of Chief in 1984. He was not only a mentor but the best friend anyone could have. We had many years of friendship and he will always have a special place in my heart. Here's to you Fred, rest in peace~
