Obituary of Clifford T. Ramsthaler
Edison – Clifford T. Ramsthaler, 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 13, 2021 in Haven Hospice of JFK Medical Center.
Born in Newark to the late Clifford and Ester Ramsthaler, Clifford resided in Irvington prior to settling to Edison many years ago. He was a pipefitter with General Motors in the Linden plant for nearly 30 years and served with the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Clifford was honorably discharged in 1972.
Cliff was a member of the Edison Elks, Lodge 2487, where he loved to shoot pool. He also enjoyed fishing, vacationing in the islands, and always surrounding himself with friends. Cliff will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Predeceased by his sister Gloria Walker; surviving are his wife, Elizabeth (Zapala) Ramsthaler of Edison and four children, Michael Ramsthaler and wife Rosa of Arizona, Anthony Ramsthaler and wife Ana of Edison, Melissa Vindman and husband Larry of South Plainfield, and Jackie Tigue and husband Mark of Hillsborough. He will also be missed by his seven grandchildren, Chelsea, Devan, Brianna, Mason, Ryan Adriana and Mark.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 ay 11am in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ, 07080 followed by burial in Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
Family and friends may gather on Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 2-6PM in the funeral home.
