Obituary of Marciano Fernandez

Piscataway – Marciano “Marc” Fernandez, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 19, 2021 surrounded by his family at home.

Born in the Pangasinan, Philippines, Marc immigrated to the United States in the early 1960’s and served proudly with the United States Navy. Proudly serving our country from 1960-1966, Marc was honorably discharged with a National Defense Service Medal and a First Good Conduct Award.

He resided in New York for several years with his wife; Leticia and their growing family. In 1985, they settled in Piscataway and continued to raise their family. Marc worked as a Budget Analyst for the Federal Government until his retirement.
In his free time, Marc enjoyed playing tennis, billiards and was an avid bowler. He also enjoyed hunting and tending to his garden. Marc will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Predeceased by 3 siblings and his granddaughter. He is survived by his sister; Letty Silva, his 3 children; George Fernandez, Virginia Garber, Victor Fernandez, his wife of 52 years, Leticia; and their 4 children, Mark, Julie, Chip and P.J. Fernandez. He will also be missed by his 9 grandchildren; Katalina Garber, Ryan Fernandez, Evan Garber, Savana Garber, Leandro Salado, Isabella Salado, Martina Fernandez, Forest Fernandez and Cali Fernandez.

Family and friends may gather for viewing on Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 2-5PM at Piscataway Funeral Home at 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854. 

The Funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, 501 New Market Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Burial Park, 899 East Lincoln Ave, Piscataway, NJ 08854.
