Obituary of Vausia Pypers

Edison – Vausia Pypers, 68, died Saturday June 26, 2021 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.

 

Born in Suriname, a Colony of the Netherlands, to Rudi and Kalimah van der Rassel, Vausia immigrated to the United States with her husband, Karel, in 1974 and resided in South Plainfield.  The pair settled to Edison years later and continued to raise their family.

 

Recently, Vausia worked in the laboratory of Akela Laser in Keansburg, NJ prior to, she was employed with Laser Diode in Edison.  A former communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Vausia enjoyed knitting, crocheting tending to her garden.  She also thoroughly enjoyed reading. 

 

Surviving are her husband, Karel Pypers of Edison; two children, Melanie Rodriguez of East Windsor and Phillip Pypers of Dunellen and two grandchildren, Logan and Phillip.  She will also be missed by a host of family and friends.

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield. 


Burial will follow in Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.

 

Family and friends may gather in South Plainfield Funeral Home from 6-8PM on Wednesday.
