Obituary of Jon E. Drake
Jon E. Drake, 53, of Manville, NJ, passed away peacefully with loved ones at his side on August 6, 2021 in the RWJ University Hospital, Somerville, NJ, after a short but difficult battle with Cancer.
Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, he was the son of Arlene (Cobb) Drake of Long Branch, formerly (Piscataway), NJ and the late John J. Drake.
Jon was a Union Floor Installer most of his life with an early career as a Chef with Tijuana Joes in North Plainfield, NJ.
Jon always enjoyed first and foremost spending time with family. He loved to cook. He loved fast cars. He had a “need for speed”, the man could not drive 55! Not only was Jon a great Dad but he was a wonderful Uncle to countless nieces and nephews and a treasured friend to many.
Survived by Ex-Wife Debbie Drake. Along with his children, Nicole Drake of Dunellen, Evangelos Drake, Athena Drake and Antonios Drake, all of whom reside in Manville, NJ. Ex-wife & friend for eternity, Daryl Anne Drake-Mann and Shawn.
Brother: Alan Drake and his wife Dawn of Long Branch, NJ. Sister: Keturah Drake and husband Matt, of Hillsborough, NJ.
Viewing hours will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 2 P.M. to 6 P.M. in the Middlesex Funeral Home 528 Bound Brook Road Middlesex, New Jersey.
