Obituary of Beatrice Ann Chiovarou

On Monday, August 16, 2021, Beatrice A. (Arcuri) Chiovarou, 88, passed away at JFK Medical Center in Edison.

Born and raised in Plainfield, she settled to South Plainfield in 1959 with her husband, Harry, Sr. where she raised her family. 

Beatrice, an avid artist, loved bringing pictures to life with color.  She was also known to be talented at crocheting creating articles of clothing, blankets and decorative accessories. She also loved to garden both flowers and vegetables and was proficient in the culinary arts with an expertise in Italian cuisine. 

Always supportive of her family, Beatrice aided her husband, son, and grandson in the Boy Scouts as well as enjoyed in accompanying her husband on his fishing trips to the Jersey shore and had a passion to participate in any and every activity with her grandchildren as they grew. 

Predeceased by her husband Harry Chiovarou Sr.; surviving are her son, Harry Chiovarou Jr. of South Plainfield; daughter, Kathi Slattery and husband John and two grandchildren; Colin Michael and Kara all of Holland Township. 

Funeral Services will begin on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 9AM in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield at 10:30AM.

 

Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
