Obituary of Mary Louise Mazzacco
Middlesex, NJ – Mary Louise (Ayres) Mazzacco, 74, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Bound Brook to the late Jess and Ramona (Nash) Ayres, Mary Louise has been a lifelong resident of Middlesex.
Mary Louise’s dedication and love to children were apparent throughout her years as a teacher. For years, she taught at Our Lady of Mount Virgin School and retired from St. Francis Cathedral School in Metuchen. In recent years, Mary Louise loved to reconnect with past students through social media. She enjoyed seeing how well they were doing and was touched by learning how she influenced their lives.
A very giving and selfless woman, Mary Louise was always putting everyone else’s needs before her own. She loved animals, loved the beach and spending time with her family. She belonged to the Altar Rosary Society of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, was an avid reader and never passed up an opportunity for a cup of tea and a conversation. A tea lover, she always found the tea rooms in the area, especially when she spent time in Cape May.
Predeceased by her loving husband Albert just a year ago in March, Mary Louise leaves behind her two loving daughters; Laura Mazzacco, Elizabeth and her husband Andre Massop, all of Middlesex. She also leaves behind her constant companion and grand-puppy, Molly.
Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. On Wednesday, April 20, 2022 family and friends are invited to gather directly to Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex for a 10:00am funeral mass. Mary Louise will be laid to rest with her husband at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations sent in Mary Louise’s name to the Society of the Little Flower (www.littleflower.org) or to the Southwest Indian Foundation (www.southwestindian.com) would be appreciated.
