Obituary of Mark T. Leonard
Dunellen, NJ – Mark T. Leonard, 56, passed away in the early hours of Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville. Born in Plainfield to the late Benedicts Gerard and Eugenia Helen (O’Connor) Leonard, Mark lived in South Plainfield and Piscataway before settling in Dunellen six years ago.
Mark was the former owner of Quality Deli in Middlesex. He was an avid NY Yankees Fan and enjoyed watching WWII Documentaries as a History buff. Mark loved to cook but his specialty he was known for was his pig roast. Mark could always be found with a cigar in his hand and he loved to tailgate.
Surviving Mark are his children, Kerry Leonard and her fiancé Tyler, Benedict Leonard, Luisa Hernandez and her husband Jay, Jairo Hernandez, and Juan Hernandez and Leidy; mother of his children, Amparo Leonard; his four grandchildren as well as his two sisters, Catherine Edmondson and her husband James of Albany, GA and Shelly Thielmann and her husband Charles of South Plainfield as well as many nieces and nephews.
