Obituary of Antonetta Troisi
Piscataway, NJ – Antonetta Troisi, 90, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital – Somerset.
Born to the late Michele and Maria Ricciardelli in Solofra, Italy, Antonetta started her family in Italy before moving to the United States in 1970. She and her family resided in Wayne, NJ and Nutley, NJ until settling in Piscataway in 1986.
As a devout catholic, the Church was a prominent part of Antonetta’s life. An active Parishioner at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church in Piscataway, she could often be found at mass, volunteering, or honoring the Saints. Her frequent trips to Italy were not only a visit home to see family, but also to go on pilgrimages to various sacred sites.
Along with the Church, family was of the utmost importance. It was her time spent with family, especially helping to raise her grandchildren, which meant the most to Antonetta.
Predeceased by her sisters Ermelinda Ricciardelli and Alfonsina Florio and brother, Michele Ricciardelli, Antonetta leaves behind her children Michelangelo Troisi and his wife, Letizia, of Belle Mead, and Edvige DelVecchio and her husband, Vito, of Piscataway; her grandchildren, Michelle, Josie and husband, Charles, Victoria and husband, Antonio, Juliana, Emily, and Michael; and great grandchildren Vito, Luca, Gianna, Stella, and Attilio, along with a host of extended relatives and friends.
