Piscataway, NJ – Annette A. Maita, 93, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.  Born in Bayonne to the late Charles and Theresa (Orecchio) Bocchino, Annette became a resident of Piscataway in 1958. 

 

For over twenty-five years, Annette was a secretary for Rutgers University.  She enjoyed being with the Piscataway Senior Citizens and liked arts and crafts.  A shopaholic, Annette also loved spending time with her family and traveling.  Annette enjoyed trips to the casino and always could be found stopping on her way home for a banana split at the Clinton Diner.

 

Predeceased by her husband John and daughter Joyce Iwansky, Annette leaves behind her loving family; John and Debbie Szesko, Renee and Rich Finelli and their children; Rebecca, Benjamin and Weston, Joann and Mike Abbate and their children; Nicholas, Christopher and Alexandra Abbate as well as her nephew Peter Marchetta and his wife Sheila.

 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 beginning 8:30am.  Prayers will be held at 10:30am followed by an 11:00am funeral mass at St. Frances Cabrini Church in Piscataway.  Annette will be laid to rest with her husband John in the Twelve Apostles Mausoleum of Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Annette’s name sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Operation Smile would be appreciated.
