Obituary of Carmine Thomas Garripoli

Middlesex, NJ – Carmine Thomas Garripoli, 98, passed away at his home in Middlesex on January 1, 2023.  Born in New York City to the late Zaccaria and Carmela (Augelli) Garripoli, Thomas lived in Englewood and Old Bridge before settling to Middlesex in 1965.

 

Thomas served his country during World War II as a Seaman First Class in the United States Navy, and was honorably discharged in 1945.   Thomas retired from the Township of Bridgewater where he worked as a construction supervisor.

 

He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex.  He enjoyed time spent with family and loved to hang out and party. 

 

Predeceased by his wife Doris who died in 2021, and by five siblings; Thomas leaves behind his brother Frank of Rutherford, his son Thomas, his grandson John and his wife Christina of Middlesex and as well as four great-grandchildren; Andrew and Michael Whalen and Cody Allen and Destiny Marie Garripoli.  He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

 

Visitation will take place at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm and on Monday, January 9, 2023 beginning 9:30am.

 

Funeral services will begin 10:00am on Monday, January 9, 2023 in the funeral home followed by a 10:30am funeral mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex.  Thomas will be laid to rest with his wife Doris at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
