Obituary of John Swahla, Jr.
John Swahla Jr. of South Plainfield entered eternal rest at age 81.
Born on December 7,1941,”A Date Which Will Live in Infamy” to John & Anna (Heryla). He was predeceased by his loving sister Helen Dziamba.
John married Susan Anna Schulte on September 19, 1986. Sadly Susan died tragically in an auto accident. They were happily married for 14 years.
In 2004, John re-married Deborah Milnicsuk, who passed away in 2019 after a brief illness. They were married for 15 years.
John continued to work full time, for Continental, now United Airlines for 31 years as a Facility Lead Technician. He loved his job & worked up until the ripe old age of 79. Shortly thereafter he retired due to health issues.
He is survived by his loving niece, Linda Ann Cassidy & her husband Tom & great nephew, Michael & son Brady & many cousins.
Friends & family are welcome to a celebration of John’s life on Monday, March 20, 2023 form 4-7pm in the South Plainfield Funeral Home 2456 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 beginning at 10am in the funeral home, family and friends may begin gathering in the funeral home at 9am.
Immediately following the funeral service John will be laid to rest at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.
